One of our absolute dream trips still on our minds is Egypt. Seeing an exhibit on Tutankhamen while we were in Austria, we were absolutely fascinated with the over 7000 years of historical influence of Ancient Egypt. While we won’t be going to Egypt yet, with Debbie expecting our first child, but it is still fun to explore and discover what you would love to see somewhere else in the world.
Find holidays to Egypt on www.ulookubook.com and start your adventure to see breathtaking temples, fascinating mummies and stunning artwork. After you return, promise to tell us all about it? Have you already been and know some cool things about Egypt we have not realized?
Here is some of what we would love to explore in Egypt:
The Pyramids & Sphinx of Giza
Erected nearly 5000 years ago and containing millions of blocks of limestone, The Pyramids & Sphinx of Giza has become one of the world’s oldest attractions. We would love to experience the last remaining wonders of the Ancient World and see the Sphinx, the half-human, half-lion statue that stands guard over the tombs.
We have heard that this is one of the most impressive temples in Egypt and that it was cut into solid rock, something that you really have to see first-hand to understand one’s amazement.
The West Bank & The Valley Of The Kings
The world’s large outdoor museum that has been lauded as one of the most important historical sites on the planet. We would love to see the tombs belonging to the pharaohs such as Tutankhamun that have been hand caved into the valley rock and admire the intricate hieroglyphics.
Desert Jeep Safari
We would love to experience an off-road jeep adventure across the beautiful Egyptian Desert.
Ride A Camel
We know, we know. People either love this experience, or hate it. Either way, we still want to have it and find out for ourselves!
Scuba Diving In The Red Sea
Scuba diving always opens up an entirely different world. Exploring the crystal clear blue water, lagoons and colorful coral reefs of the Red Sea would be divine.
The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities – It would be amazing to see the world’s greatest collection of Egyptian artifacts, including the legendary haul from the Tomb of Tutankhamun.
