Spring Training baseball under the warm Arizona sun has been a tradition for devoted fans since 1947. Back then, only two teams, the Cleveland Indians and the New York Giants, used Arizona to prepare for the season ahead. Today, 15 teams train in the greatest concentration of professional baseball facilities found anywhere in the United States.
Being a big baseball fan, Debbie was determined to check out some spring training action, while being able to introduce Madison to her favorite sport. Visiting the Surprise Recreation Campus to see the Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox battle it out, we found that there really would not be a bad seat in the house. Being a mid-week game, there were a decent amount of empty seats, but the extra space was welcome, as were our shaded seats that were located a dozen rows up behind home plate.
It was a great game, where Madison was even able to witness her first home run, and then two more! The game ended at 6-6.

What is your favorite sport you have been able to experience while on your travels?
