Lively, very funny, and as varied as the Pixar characters, Disney’s Pixar Play Parade features floats and characters based on Disney·Pixar films such as Monsters, Inc., The Incredibles, Cars, Toy Story, Finding Nemo and A Bugs Life. It’s very whimsical and playful and the whole family will be clapping and dancing along.
Don’t have time to watch both parades while you’re exploring Disney? Disney’s Pixar Play Parade and Disney’s Mickey’s Soundsational Parade are two very different parades and both enjoyable in their own right. But, if I had to pick between the two I would go with the Mickey’s Soundsational Parade.

What you should know:
- The parade route starts at The Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror and stretches all the way to the Silly Symphony Swings. The beginning of the parade is in Hollywood Land. Keep in mind that the further you set up from the beginning of the parade, the more time it will take for the parade to reach you.
- All of the floats launch water and mist during the warmer seasons. In cooler weather floats will feature bubbles instead.
- Shady spots can be found near The Little Mermaid- Ariel’s Undersea Adventure ride.
- If you want to take advantage of so many people taking in the parade and try to get into some shorter ride lineups, especially the Radiator Springs Racers, ask a cast member where to find the nearest crossing to get away from the madness.
What do you think about the California Adventure parades compared to the parades across the way at Disneyland?
