When you visit the Okanagan, you can experience walking among Kangaroos without having to travel to Australia. Get a taste of the Land Down Under at Kangaroo Creek Farm!
Kangaroo Creek Farm
At Kangaroo Creek Farm in Kelowna, BC visitors can enjoy wandering amongst the kangaroos. The staff are experts on kangaroos and wallabies and can answer any questions you have about their species, habitat, breeding, diet, housing, and general physiology. You can choose to make your visit as educational as you want by asking them questions; we learned SO much!
Did you know that a kangaroo’s tail is the strongest part of it’s body?
We also appreciated that the staff would add into the education the fact that you wouldn’t go up to a Kangaroo in the wild like you can at the Kelowna Kangaroo farm. They reminded the kids about how to respect wildlife and the importance of not getting too close.
We visited Kangaroo Creek Farm years ago when it was in a different location, so the photos here will show a mixture of both locations. Also, years ago you were able to hold little Joeys, but we were a little early for it this time, if it is even still an option.
