Check LEGOLAND California Hours
During the off-season, which is defined by the LEGOLAND Park website as “a period of time when our parks and attractions are closed to guests for rebuilding, maintenance or other reasons,” the hours are shorter than they are during the rest of the year. They are closed a day or two every week in November, so make sure to look at their schedule before buying tickets or hopping on an airplane to go to LEGOLAND for some fun.

A Cashless Resort
The LEGOLAND California Resort is cashless, and payment must be made with either credit or debit cards at the park, water park, aquarium, and hotels. To make life more convenient for you, they have Cash-to-Card kiosks where you can turn cash into a prepaid card that can be used as a VISA card throughout the resort in just a few short minutes.
Here Are 7 Reasons Why You Should Visit Legoland In The Fall:
The Weather Is Perfect!
Depending on when you visit, the heat can be unbearable at times, which makes it hard to have a good time.
The weather in Carlsbad during the Fall is simply beautiful. The temperatures are moderate, so you won’t have to deal with the extreme heat of summer or the cold of winter. Plus, since Legoland is an outdoor park, you’ll be able to fully enjoy all the rides and attractions without worrying about being too hot or too cold.
While it is occasionally chilly when November hits, it is rare to experience anything that might be classified as “cold.” Throw on a hoodie and you’re good to go.
Fewer Crowds And Shorter Lines
Visiting LEGOLAND during Fall has its perks: shorter lines for rides and attractions, and fewer people in general. This is ideal if you’re traveling with young kids who might not have the patience or stamina to wait in long queues.
A few rides are seasonally closed down and fewer characters are available for meet-and-greet photo opportunities. However, there is still more than enough to do to fill your entire day!
The Park Is Decorated For The Seasons
LEGOLAND also hosts a number of special events during the Fall, including the Brick-or-Treat Halloween Party and the LEGOLAND California Resort Birthday Bash. It is fun to wander the park with the Halloween decor up and enjoy all of the special seasonal touches that LEGOLAND adds during Fall.
In Mid-November, the park decorates for Christmas. This includes a giant Lego Christmas Tree in the center of the park and special holiday-themed shows. It’s the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit!
Admission Savings
During the off-season, it is common to find discounts on tickets and hotels. You can also find special package deals that include admission to other nearby attractions, such as the San Diego Zoo or SeaWorld. For large families, cost savings like these can be a big deal!
If you’re looking for a bargain, Fall is the perfect time to visit LEGOLAND!
Less Competition For Minifigure Trading And Building Activities
If you want to trade mini-figures with LEGO employees, it’s best to do so at LEGOLAND, where they wear their minifigs on their name tags. Fewer crowds mean less competition for trading.
Pro tip: If you want to trade minifigs with other people, make sure the minifigs have an accessory and either hair or a hat. Trades are done piece for piece.
There is also less waiting to take part in LEGO building activities. Our kids loved being able to build their own boats to race. Since there was no lineup, they were able to race and tweak their designs to improve their next race.
Smaller Children Have More Opportunities To Play
There are plenty of kid-centric rides, shows, and attractions to keep even the littlest members of your group entertained.
There are several play areas throughout the park, including one near the castle area, and one in the adventure section. If your kids find a play area or two that they really love, they will be able to play for as long as they wish. They and will be able to make the most of the play areas without kids trampling on each other.
A More Relaxed Visit
With fewer crowds, it is easier to keep track of the little ones. You don’t have to worry about them getting lost in a sea of people. And since the lines are shorter, you won’t feel rushed or stressed out trying to fit everything into one day.
Overall, visiting LEGOLAND during Fall is a great way to enjoy all the park has to offer without dealing with the crowds and heat of summer. With so many reasons to visit during the offseason, there’s no excuse not to plan your trip today!
If you’re looking for a fun and festive Fall activity, visiting Legoland is a great option.
