Our Stay At Milkwood Manor Guesthouse In Plettenburg Bay, South Africa

Last Updated on March 14, 2016

We stayed two nights at the Milkwood Manor during our South African journey. It was the perfect location as it was near all our excursions: Walking A Cheetah, Birds Of Eden, Monkeyland , kayaking and hiking Robberg.

This hotel is in a tranquil setting, making for a very relaxing stay. Our room had a great view, the staff and host was very friendly and helpful when needed. Taking a walk up to the roof-top, you are treated to a stunning view of the area.

The Lemongrass restaurant had pretty tasty food and was where we tried Ostrich meat for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised at the taste (like beef) and chewy texture. We were surprised that Ostrich meat is red, not white like most other birds, as ostrich is considered is poultry.

The Lemongrass restaurant is also romantically lit at night. At breakfast you can sit looking out at the stunning view over the beach and the breaking waves of the ocean as you enjoy your meal. The breakfast itself was decent, much like other accommodations around South Africa that offer the buffet style, with the additional option to get a hot breakfast cooked to order.
