“Too many of us are not living our dreams becaus “Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears” – Les Brown⁣⁣
⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Everyone is fascinated by our dream lives, yet only a handful of us actually make that dream life happen. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Do you know why? ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We are living our lives in fear. We fear failure. Yet, fear kills more dreams than failure ever will. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We fear the unknown. We fear judgement from others. We fear falling down and struggling to get back up. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Whatever your goals are for this year — to be a travel blogger, work with your favourite brands, improve your photography, travel with your family (when it is safe to do so), or adopt a llama, there is a mindset we use to gain more clarity...⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Imagine the choices you would make if you have no fear. Going into that fearless place will show you which desires still have fire and which one fizzle out. The former are a foundation for every great leap. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Step boldly into this year. Take that leap of faith. Create a life you love and make those dreams happen. You got this! ⁣
⁣
What does your dream life include?
We are so ready for more adventures in 2021!⁣
⁣
One thing that will be forever etched in our minds from 2020, are the words “please don’t come here”. Said over and over again all across the world, it was a frustrating year in the travel-sphere. Borders closed, flights grounded and cancelled, tourists trapped in their destinations or on cruise ships while frantically trying to make it home. Travel is often a means of escape, but even researching travel in 2020 came with the disclaimer, “please don’t come here”. This left us searching for adventure closer to home.⁣
⁣
We asked some other great travel bloggers to share one of their favourite adventures they found closer to home. On the blog now at WorldAdventurists.com. ⁣
⁣
We wish you a fantastic New Year full of laughter, blessings and filled with new adventures. ⁣
⁣
What was a great adventure you found closer to home?
🎶 Walking in a winter wonderland 🎶❄️⁣⁣

“Kindness is like snow- It beautifies everything it covers.” - Kahlil Gibran
We got out for our first winter mountain adventure We got out for our first winter mountain adventure of the season at Mt Seymour! It felt so good to spend the day skiing.

We usually snowboard, but thought we should try out skiing this time.

We loved it! It’ll be hard to choose what we should do now when we hit the slopes.

We were supposed to be up at Sun Peaks in Kamloops for a winter getaway, but chose to cancel with the latest restrictions in BC.

It felt good to go out for a mini adult-only adventure, even if it was still closer to home.

Next, we have to get the kids finally started on some skis!

What is your winter sport of choice?

Driving around Vancouver we would spot some murals here and there, but we had never realized just how full of murals Vancouver has become. Or, how special and full of colour and inspiration those back alleys that we ignore would be. We never took the time to properly appreciate the art scene in Vancouver. ⁣
⁣
We spent a day driving and walking around and still feel like we barely scratched the surface. ⁣

This piece, “The Kraken” by Tyler Toews, was our favourite (kids and adults alike). Doesn’t it just make you think WOW!?! ⁣

⁣⁣ Our favorite part of Vancouver’s Stanley ⁣⁣
Our favorite part of Vancouver’s Stanley Park is the massive 8.8 km seawall that stretches along the outer rim of Stanley Park. Taking a stroll along the seawall is always a must when visiting Vancouver. It gives you the opportunity to walk for miles around the whole city, experience amazing city, ocean, mountain and forest (over 27km of forest trails) views. It is one of the most enjoyable walks around Vancouver and it will awaken your mind.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I especially love an early morning stroll on the Seawall with the Fall colours. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Have you ever visited Vancouver?
Did you know that the largest bald eagle migration Did you know that the largest bald eagle migration in the world happens in British Columbia? During this annual rite of nature, over 35,000 eagles pass through the lower Fraser Valley annually from late October until February. It is such an incredible sight to witness!⁣⁣⁣

I wanted to try out a bigger lens to capture these majestic birds. Using @ruckify I was able to easily rent one for the weekend and capture some great eagle photos like this one!⁣ Swipe ⬅️ to see! ⁣⁣

Eagle spotting was part of our staycation weekend we planned in Vancouver using #Ruckify. It is a great way to get creative, save some money and save some valuable storage space when you only use certain items a couple times a year.⁣⁣⁣

I haven't introduced myself on here for a while so I haven't introduced myself on here for a while so I thought I'd do that again. Big warm hello to all of you! My name is Debbie and I'm the dreamer behind WorldAdventurists. I’m Mom to four beautiful, wild children. ⁣
⁣
When I was a teenager, I fell in love with travel after Darcy and I took our first vacation together to Mexico. After having our second child,I decided to flip the career switch. I was having a lot of fun in the music industry with my music magazine, popYOUlarity. For years it was great interviewing celebrities and feeling the rush of concert photography, but the crazy hours did not work with me wanting to be present for my kids. So, I decided to go for giving my kids the coolest experiences and WorldAdventurists was born.⁣
⁣
I spend most of my days chasing my kids around, adventuring with them and creating content and love every minute of it. For me, what I do is so much more than just a job, it's something I picture myself doing for years to come. It allows me to show my kids the world, and I honestly couldn't imagine doing anything else.⁣
⁣
I'd love to get to know you a little better, comment below and come say hello and tell me where you're from, it's always so much fun to see where everyone is!⁣

Pictured here is Flood Falls, near Hope, BC. We could not believe that we did not know about this waterfall before now. We love hikes through lush green forests with moss covered trees. A heavily forested trail, with the stream flowing from the falls right past the beginning of the trail, makes it a peaceful hike.⁣
⁣
If you have kids, this is a great hike option as it is a short 1km hike with a great reward.
We are in a world that celebrates doing things in We are in a world that celebrates doing things in a big way. Especially if you are following the “perfect travel life” of some Instagram families, it is easy to start believing that if your adventures are not grand, they do not count. ⁣
⁣
This couldn’t be farther from the truth!⁣
⁣
Even with a “small” adventure, we need to remember that just being with each other, regardless of the location or activity, is all you need to create a lasting bond. ⁣
⁣
“It was never the magnitude of the adventure or the mileage of the hike that made the memories count. It was just the fact that we were out there together, making it happen over and over again” - Adventuring Together⁣
⁣
This is Alexandra Bridge. It is located in BC Canada 🇨🇦 in the Fraser Canyon approximately two kilometres north of Spuzzum and 40 kilometres north of Hope.⁣
⁣
Alexandra Bridge was completed in 1863. It was part of the world-famous “Cariboo Wagon Road”, with the purpose of connecting Fort Yale to the gold fields of Barkerville. When it was completed in 1865, it was declared “the eighth wonder of the world”. How cool is that to have a former “world wonder” right here in British Columbia?⁣

One of our favourite hikes to do in Whistler is to One of our favourite hikes to do in Whistler is to the Train Wreck. The Train Wreck site is a popular attraction and is located near the Cheakamus River, just south of Whistler. The outdoor art gallery is celebrated for its visual juxtaposition of metal and nature, history and culture. These rusty box cars are periodically transformed with a little spray paint into a really unique outdoor art gallery. We love that each time we visit we are given a bit of a different experience because the art has completely changed.⁣⁣

Have you ever been behind a waterfall?⁣⁣

⁣⁣
Wells Gray Provincial Park is a waterfall chasing paradise. We have been wanting to get out that way for so long and this year gave us the opportunity to do that. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
This waterfall is Moul Falls. You can actually go behind the waterfall (though I’d suggest no little kids attempting to because of the sketchy path). ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The water is cold, and you get soaked, but it was so refreshing and incredible to be so close to such a force of nature. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We didn’t see any bears on our hike to Moul Falls, but there was plenty of bear scat along the way. Always be bear aware! ⁣⁣

“The pleasure we derive from journeys is perhaps dependent more on the mindset with which we travel than on the destination we travel to” – Alain de Botton⁣
⁣
That quote was a big lesson we learned this year. Beauty and adventure are everywhere — a lot has to do with mindset ❤️ Though we love to jet off to far away places, our time spent exploring BC has been a blessing too. Travel with an open mind and you’ll always find a lot more happy, and be better prepared for any challenges. ⁣

#AD - Halloween Traditions and Celebrations Around #AD - Halloween Traditions and Celebrations Around the World

Halloween is one of the world's oldest holidays, dating back to pagan times. It is celebrated today by more people in more countries than ever before.

We aren’t sure what Halloween will look like this year for us here in BC, but we have been in full festive mode taking in all the Fall fun that we can do safely (take a look at our stories). These @MadeGoodfoods Granola Mini Bars are perfect to hand out on Halloween, as they are safe with no peanuts or tree nuts. Kids do not need to be afraid of allergies with this option. Treats do not need to be loaded full of junk to taste good!

We love that MadeGood products have a full serving of vegetables from six different sources. The kids feel that they are getting a treat, without knowing there are additional benefits!

In Canada, Jack O'Lanterns are carved and the festivities include parties, trick-or-treating and the decorating of homes.

How do you celebrate Halloween in your country?
I love traveling with my kids and hubby, but I als I love traveling with my kids and hubby, but I also love the little getaways with my sister. I love that I can count on her for joining me on my spontaneous plans, no matter how crazy they sound. With Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend, she is one person I am sure thankful for! ⁣
⁣
What I love most about trips with my (twin) sister is that I love sharing the same space again. I love getting up and having breakfast together, and doing the ordinary things we would do as kids, while exploring and making more memories. ⁣
⁣
Staying in this rustic cabin in the woods on Galiano Island in beautiful B.C. 🇨🇦 was another grand twin adventure. ⁣
⁣
Do you enjoy traveling with siblings?
Get outside of your comfort zone! ⁣ ⁣ I wish e Get outside of your comfort zone! ⁣
⁣
I wish every day could be as full of sunshine and happiness as this day was. But, I also believe that it isn’t meant to always be that way. You have to experience some less than perfect moments to truly be able to appreciate the close to perfect ones. ⁣
⁣
When the world started to shut down, at first I was worried about what it would mean for my business. With the travel industry at a standstill, what was I supposed to do next? Was this it? After all the hard work, were things really just going to crash and burn? ⁣
⁣
I’ve never been one to just roll over and give up. I’m a huge believer that if there is a will, there is a way. So, I took those last rays of sunshine and found ways to keep things moving along. ⁣
⁣
I also realized something HUGE during the cloudy days — I realized that I was letting myself get too comfortable. Too comfortable in a routine to be able to keep pushing even further. You only grow outside of your comfort zone, so I reassessed my direction and plan, and feel like I have made some huge strides forward. ⁣
⁣
2020 doesn’t have to be the year that got away. There’s still time to make it a year of immeasurable growth. ⁣

How do you feel 2020 has helped you? ⁣
