Where Is Harrison Lake?

Harrison Lake is a stunning glacier-fed lake that sits in the heart of BC’s southwest and is about 60-kilometres long and 9 km across at its widest point covering 250 square kilometers.

The lake is popular for recreation, including swimming, fishing, boating, and camping. Harrison Hot Springs, a resort town located on the shore of the lake, is a popular destination for tourists.

The Harrison River is a wide but shallow river that connects Harrison Lake and the Fraser River.

We stayed in Suite 3. The room was modern and clean, overlooking the lake with a small, covered patio for two that was perfect to enjoy a peaceful coffee and breakfast while enjoying the views.

We loved the big window views, giving an incredible view of the lake.

Lakeside Dining And Campfire S’mores

There is something about a lakeside dinner that just makes it feel special. Maybe it is the way the water reflects the setting sun, or maybe it is the sound of the water gently lapping against the shore. Whatever the reason, there is no denying that a lakeside dinner is a great way to spend an evening.

We were fortunate enough to be invited to attend a dinner at the Lodge On Harrison Lake with some fellow content creators. The setting was incredible – a moody PNW evening. It started to rain as we were making our way to the lodge on a jet boat tour. We opted to leave the setup in the rain and as we all sat down for dinner, the rain stopped.

We were seated at tables overlooking the lake, and we could see the gorgeous lake and mountain scenery in the distance. The meal was truly amazing – each course was more DELICIOUS than the last.

While you would have to be invited to an event at The Lodge On The Lake to have a dining experience like this, if you are invited – know it will be nothing short of fabulous.

And of course, no lakeside dinner is complete without a campfire and some s’mores. There is just something about roasted marshmallows and melted chocolate that makes even the most ordinary conversation seem special. If you are looking to spend an evening surrounded by great company, look no further than a lakeside dinner and campfire s’mores.

The Barrel Sauna

The Lodge On Harrison Lake has a great relaxation feature option, the barrel sauna. There is nothing quite like feeling the relaxation that comes from spending time in a sauna. When you add in a stunning view, the experience is even more special as you relax and recharge.

A barrel sauna is a type of Finnish sauna that is typically made from wood. Barrel saunas have a more naturalistic appearance than other types of saunas, and they offer a cozy, intimate atmosphere.

It was incredible after a long day of exploring to be able to take a short walk from our suite and enjoy some time in the barrel sauna and relax.

Where To Eat

You feel a world away from it all when you are at The Lodge On Harrison Lake, but you are just a short drive from some incredible places for a meal or a tasty treat.

Do not miss these places to eat nearby:

Taco Rio

Taco Rio is a Mexican restaurant that offers fresh and traditional dishes with an influence from the West Coast.

You will love the delicious food and lively atmosphere. The spicy crispy chicken burrito is one of the best burritos we have ever tasted.

Muddy Waters Café

When you are in the area, make sure to swing by Muddy Waters Cafe. It is a cozy little spot with great atmosphere and perfect for catching up with friends over coffee or enjoying leisurely meal together!

After your meal, grab some of their delicious bakery options to go for the next morning and enjoy a slow morning on the deck of your suite overlooking Harrison Lake.

The Black Forest Restaurant

The Black Forest Steak & Schnitzel House is the perfect spot for a delicious meal. The servings are generous, and their menu is so extensive that there is something new for us to try every time we visit.

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

When you need that sweet fix, get it at Rocky Mountain Chocolate. These handmade chocolates are made with only the finest ingredients and come in an array of flavors to choose from.

Harrison Hot Springs is known for their signature sasquatch foot chocolate, and Rocky Mountain Chocolate is where you will find it. This fun way to celebrate the mystery of this elusive creature will make you laugh, but it will also solve that chocolate craving.
