I love waking up on a sunny morning. There’s something about the sun that just energizes you, and really ignites your soul. Waking up on British Columbia’s “Family Day” yesterday, we were thrilled to hit the road with blue sky and the sun shining bright. We headed into Vancouver for a nice long walk in the beautiful weather. We found ourselves wandering the seawall, one of the most picturesque, relaxing walks in Vancouver.
The seawall is a stone wall that was constructed around the perimeter of Stanley Park to prevent the erosion of the park’s foreshore. Today, the seawall is one of the top attractions in Vancouver. Even a short walk along the seawall and you’ll understand why it is so popular.
10K and two and a half hours later, we were finished. With a toddler, the seawall is another reason to not sit still. Madison was so excited with her surroundings, that our walk took longer, as she only wanted to scream when in the stroller; she wanted to walk and run around. However, watching her excitement as she pointed out the different sights and dug her hands into the sand was so much fun for us to watch. Plus, it made us take a step back and enjoy the moment, instead of just trying to power through the walk.
We swear, the season will change early again this year, if yesterday was any indication.
We don’t get into Vancouver, for pleasure purposes, as much as we would like to. It’s a vibrant city with picturesque views everywhere you look. It’s a place where if you haven’t been here, it’s likely on your list. And, after you take a glance at the photos below, if Vancouver wasn’t (surprisingly) already on your list, now it will be.
You’re welcome.
Have you ever been to Vancouver? What do you love most about Vancouver?
